William Robert Long, 73, of Zanesville, died at his home on Saturday, July 9, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born November 6, 1942 in Cleveland, a son of the late Robert C. and Mary Louise Adrian Long. He is a U.S. Airforce Vietnam Veteran and worked as a mechanic in the Columbus City Schools. Surviving are his four daughters, Heather (Anthony) Jude of Pfafftown, NC, Holly (Rick LeMaster) Evilsizor of Marysville, Hilary (Brian) Dalton of Ada, OH, and Harmony Popp of Piqua, OH; nineteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph (Beth) Long of Zanesville and Thomas F. (Jennifer) Long of Middleport, OH; his significant other, Delores Terrill of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ann Gerst; and a nephew, Thomas F. Long Jr. No calling hours will be held. A dignified cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Zanesville. BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE will be assisting the family.
