William F. (Fred) Propp, 76, of Zanesville, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 3:04 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 6, 1934, in Gallipolis, Ohio, a son of the late Jacob and Nancy Marie Frederick Propp. He was a mechanic for 38 years for Putnam Transfer. He was a workaholic, a friend to all and an avid collector of John Deere memorabilia. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Ellen Pennell Propp, whom he married March 5, 1988, of the home; two sons, Jack F. (Bettie) Propp of Mason, West Virginia and William (Rick) Propp of Columbus, Ohio; a step son, Brent L. Pennell of Zanesville; a step daughter, Rita (David) Brunsell of Venice, Florida; a granddaughter; a great granddaughter; four step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; three nieces; a nephew; numerous great nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Esther Lawrence of Columbus, Ohio and Dana and Jean Kuntz of Malta, Ohio; and a special friend and co-worker, Jay Savage. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack (Bud) Propp; a sister, Mary Propp Brewer; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Pennell. No calling hours will be observed. A dignified cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating.
