William A. Robbie Robison, 83, of Zanesville, died at 9:53 P.M. on January 8, 2017, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. He was born January 4, 1934, to the late Gordon L. and Martha I. Steffee Robison. Robbie was Owner/Operator Distributor for Pure Oil Company and Union 76. He also was the co-founder and original owner of the National Road Beer Dock. He was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church, Past Master of Irville Masonic Lodge #184 F & AM in 1974, life member of Amrou Grotto, member of Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, Zavi Shrine and a member of West Muskingum Lions Club. He was an avid card player, especially Texas Hold em and Poker, and enjoyed watching Ohio State Football, NFL, and NASCAR. Along with his father, Robbie raised over 50,000 Christmas trees to be sold on the Robison Tree Farm. He is survived by his wife and childhood sweetheart of sixty-two years, Shirley A. Walpole Robison, of the home, whom he married April 25, 1954; two sons, Rusty (Rebecca) Robison of Westerville and Scott (Michelle) Robison of Zanesville; two daughters, Kimberly A. Maxwell of Zanesville and Kelly Lynn (George) Patterson of Zanesville; and two grandchildren, Anita (Dr. Michael) Murphy and Amanda (Michael) Piolata; and a great-grandchild Anna Faye Piolata. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Robison, Jr.; a sister Frances Jennings; and a son-in-law, Myron Maxwell.
