William P. Ryan

JOHNS ISLAND, SC: William Patrick Ryan, 83, of Seabrook Island, South Carolina died on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his home after a long illness. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio on November 4, 1929, to Herbert and Louise (Goelz) Ryan. Mr. Ryan served during the Korean War on the USS Vermillion returning to Zanesville where he resided until his retirement from Burnham Corporation in 1991. Since retirement, Mr. Ryan and his wife Joanne have lived at Seabrook Island, South Carolina near the ocean they love. In addition to his wife of 62 years, the former Joanne Lucas, he is survived by a daughter Chanda Dulc of Potomac Falls, VA; and sons Kelly Ryan of Zanesville, Dayne Ryan of Eaton CO and Scott Ryan of Dublin, OH. Additionally, Mr. Ryan is survived by his brother Terrance Ryan, and sister Regina "Jean" Lyons, both of Zanesville, and 11 grandchildren, Collin Ryan, Clay Ryan, Makenna Ryan, Conner Ryan, Caleb Ryan, Carson Ryan, Jessica Ryan, Samantha Ryan, Alexandra Ryan, Joseph Dulc and Julia Dulc and one great grandchild, Corbin Ryan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Ryan is preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Donald Ryan and his sisters Patricia "Pat" Paul and Josephine "Joy Lou" Coyle. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville, with Father Martin Ralko as celebrant, and with military honors being presented by VFW George Selsam Post #1058.
