William Richard Trout

March 15, 1927 — February 19, 2008

William Richard (Dick) Trout, 80, of Zanesville, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at his residence as a result of a house fire. He was born March 15, 1927, in Stockport, Ohio, a son of the late James R. and Sadie Sells Trout. He retired after 46 years of service in the Cullet and Batch Department for Brockway Glass. He was a member of the Brighton Presbyterian Church, was a US Navy Korean Veteran and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and later in life, building lego's with his grandchildren. Surviving are a daughter, Lynn (Bruce) Stalder of Zanesville; two sons, Richard (Dianne) Trout Jr. and Jim Trout, both of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Mathew E. (Alicia) Akers and Juni (Steve) Runkle, both of Zanesville; six great grandchildren, Daniel Akers, Katelin Akers, Cheyenne Akers, Terry Runkle, Hanna Runkle and Morgan Runkle; three sister-in-laws, Barbara Trout and Nancy Tanner, both of Zanesville and Blanche Drumm of Newark; a brother-in-law, Paul Kuttler Jr. of Zanesville; an aunt, Mary Elizabeth Sells of Beverly, Ohio; a cousin, Deloris (David) Silvus of Beverly, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria F. Tanner Trout, who died May 3, 2004; a son, Daniel E. Trout; a great-grandson, Xian Michael Allan Akers; a sister, Jo Ann Kuttler and a brother, Robert B. Trout. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Suellen Skinner officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military rites at the graveside. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brighton Presbyterian Church, 771 Lexington Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.
