Wilma Y. Buxton, 76, of Zanesville, died at 1:25 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital. She was born December 3, 1933, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late James Monroe and Oma Higgins Howerton. She was the co-owner of Snelling and Snelling Employment Agency and Jackies Temporaries. She was a Baptist by faith. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Jack Buxton, whom she married July 4, 1952, of the home; three daughters, Debra (Thomas) Moore of Hopewell, Pamala Rutledge and Vickie Erichsen, both of Zanesville; a son, Robert (Ellen) Kirkbride of Manteca, CA., seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by thirteen brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, Craig Rutledge. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Thomas L. Moore officiating.
