Wilmer M. "Webb" Warne, 76, of Zanesville, passed away at 3:38 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2008 at the Genesis Hospice-Morrison House and Palliative Care. He was born November 29, 1931, in Chandlersville, the son of the late Chester and Florence West Warne. Wilmer was a retired machinist at the Zanesville Mould Division of Anchor Glass Container Corp. He was U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the American Legion Post 29, the Malta Masonic Lodge # 118 at Norwich, Ohio, Amrou Grotto # 45 and the Old Trail Hunt Club. Surviving are his wife Margaret Voytko Warne, whom he married June 22, 1957 of the home, a son Terry (Marcy) Warne of Zanesville; a daughter Tina Warne of N. C ; two sisters, Esther Parrett of Zanesville and Grace (Keith) Lamb of Newark; a brother, James R. Warne of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Tasia (Warne) Armstrong and Chase Warne, both of Zanesville, James Kirkbride of Cambridge and Melissa Kirkbride with the U. S. Air Force at Dover Del.and two great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Thornton and Ruth Mauller; two brothers, Loren and Homer Warne and a grandson in-law Cpl. David C. Armstrong. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday August 19 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Combs officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasent Grove Cemetery with VFW George Selsam Post 1058 holding military services at the gravesite. Malta Masonic Lodge # 118 will hold services at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forest Ave., Zanesville Ohio.
