Winifred A. Eppley, 85, of Newark, died at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the Newark Healthcare Center. She was born April 14, 1923, in Noble County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Russell and Winifred Nichols King. She retired in 1960 as an assembly line worker for Gould National and she was a Methodist by faith. Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Bernard F. Eppley Jr., whom she married June 2, 1962, of the home; two daughters, Norma Jean (Michael) Stanton of Lancaster, CA. and Teresa (Robert) Dunn of Frazeysburg; a step daughter, Gloria (Randy) Bowman of Michigan; a step son, Larry E. Eppley of Newark; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin sons, Edward and Thomas Clark; five sisters, Marcella Westcott, June Smith, Grace Dilley, Nancy Burley and Blanche Schray; seven brothers, Pearlie, Aitchie, Ray, William, Russell, Kenneth and Herbert Lee King; and a step daughter, Karen Reed. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009 at the funeral home with Rev. Mitch Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
